The Business Development Team can support organisations to establish and develop social firms by providing assistance with:
- Assessment of a business opportunity, whether start-up, acquisition or conversion of existing enterprise
- Development of feasibility, business and marketing plans
- Replication of successful social firms
- Access to specialist industry expertise
- Assistance with accessing contracts (see Partnerships with Industry)
- Assistance with strategic planning around a business idea or ongoing business development of a social firm
- Identifying potential funding sources for start up, acquisition or growth , both government and philanthropic
- Identifying suitable community and corporate partners for the social firm
- Assistance with promotional events and activities
- Promotion at Forums, conferences, seminars etc
- Development and distribution of promotional resource material
